Hematopoietic stem cell trafficking

چکیده
Hematopoiesis is sustained by a renewable pool of stem cells that interacts with distinct, sequential and specific microenvironments during normal development and throughout adult life. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are unique in their ability to migrate to various sites, ensuring the safety and integrity of their regenerative potential. This review is focused on the guidance cues and molecular pathways regulating HSC trafficking throughout the lifetime of the organism. We examine and discuss recent findings that shed new light into the molecular connections that feed a complex network between stem cells and their microenvironment, implicating parallel mechanisms for non-hematopoietic stem cells. Hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) migration throughout life is believed to be central to hematopoiesis under homeostasis. Blood circulation enables regulated trafficking of HSCs from specific embryonic and extra-embryonic sites to the fetal liver, ending their developmental journey in the bone marrow (BM) where most of the definitive *Edited by David Scadden. متن کاملAssociation between CRP Level on Admission Day and Length of Hospitalization and Engraftment in Patients Undergoing Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
Background and purpose: Several studies investigated the role of C-reactive protein (CRP) during transplantation and inflammation, and clinical outcomes after stem cell transplantation. In this study, we examined the relationship between the earliest CRP level on admission day, and the first outcome after transplantation, myeloid and platelet engraftment, and the length of hospitalization in p...

Purpose: Differentiation of Mouse embryonicstem cells into Hematopoietic cells. Materials and Methods: In this study, we used EB formation system for Hematopoietic differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cell (Royan B1) in suspension culture. EBs cultured in medium with Hematopoietic inducer cytokines (SCF, TPO, GMCSF, IL3, Flt3 and EPO) .presence of hematopoietic differentiated cell assessed ...
متن کاملFeasibility of high-dose iodine-131-metaiodobenzylguanidine therapy for high-risk neuroblastoma preceding myeloablative chemotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: a study protocol
Objective(s): High-risk neuroblastoma is a childhood cancer with poorprognosis despite modern multimodality therapy. Internal radiotherapy using131I-metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) is effective for treating the disease even if it isresistant to chemotherapy. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacyof 131I-MIBG radiotherapy combined with myeloablative high-dose chemotherapyand...
متن کاملRelation between Age, Gender, Number of Blood Products Received and Diagnosis with Engraftment and Length of Hospital Stay in Patients Undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation
Background and purpose: Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may be one of the best treatment options for some patients with hematological malignancies. The process of stem cell homing in the bone marrow and the production and proliferation of denovo cell populations is called engraftment and could be considered as one of the key factors in the success of stem cell transplantation...
متن کاملبررسی اثر آگونیست -آدرنرژیکی ایزوپروترنول بر بیان miR-886-3p و miR-23a در سلولهای بنیادی مزانشیمی مغز استخوان انسان
Background and Objective: Mobilization of Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) for transplantation and the importance of -adrenergic signals in induction of this process have been well investigated. However, little is known about the role of -adrenergic signals in mobilization of HSCs and factors influenced by these signals. The Chemokine Stromal Derived Factor -1 (SDF-1) which is expressed by hum...
